Is the Da Vinci Code dangerous?
Here is an interesting article to check out in regards to the recent release of the Da Vinci Code. I believe that I will pick up the book today in preparation for a message on the book that I plan to give in June.

The Priory of Sion, a secret society that drives the plot of The Da Vinci Code, never truly existed. Described in the novel as a European order founded in 1099, it was a fantasy created in 1956 by Pierre Plantard, a French anti-semite with a criminal record for fraud. Plantard claimed to be of Merovingian blood (a French royal line supposedly descending from Jesus and Mary's union). To support his claims, he placed fake documents in France's national library. Thus the Knights Templar couldn't have been founded by the Priory of Sion, as Brown's book claims: the Priory is a hoax.
